We made the list. And yeah… I’m bloody proud.

So here’s something I never set out to chase — but I’m taking a second to properly celebrate it.
She Who Dares Wins has officially been named one of the UK’s top women’s empowering podcasts by Million Podcasts.
Not once.
But across multiple categories:
-
Women Empowerment Podcasts UK
-
Women Leadership Podcasts UK
-
Women Podcasts UK

No gimmicks. No celebrity co-sign. No overnight viral moment.
Just real conversations. Real women. Real stories that don’t get enough airtime.
This podcast was never about “being an expert”
I didn’t start She Who Dares Wins with a master plan or a shiny media kit.
I started it after 17 years in construction, running on fumes, quietly questioning whether this was it.
After burnout. After rebuilding. After realising that purpose doesn’t arrive with fireworks — it usually turns up disguised as a nudge you keep ignoring.
This podcast exists because I needed these conversations myself.
And because I knew other women did too.
Women who:
-
Don’t fit the mould
-
Feel late, behind, or “off track”
-
Have done the sensible thing and are quietly dying inside
-
Are strong as hell but tired of pretending they’re fine
I’m not positioning myself as the guru.
I’m the collector of stories — mine, and the incredible women who’ve sat across from me in the studio and said things you don’t usually hear out loud.
Why this recognition actually matters
Awards can be fluffy. Let’s be honest.
But this one? This one hits different.
Because Million Podcasts ranks shows based on consistency, reach, relevance, and impact — not who shouts the loudest on Instagram.
Which tells me one thing:
These stories are landing.
These conversations are needed.
And women are hungry for something more honest than “just think positive and manifest harder”.
To the women who listen — this is yours
If you’ve ever messaged me saying:
-
“I thought I was the only one”
-
“This episode made me cry in the car”
-
“I finally booked the thing / left the job / started the idea”
This recognition belongs to you.
You are the reason this podcast exists.
You’re the reason it’s growing.
And you’re the reason I’ll keep showing up, mic on, asking better questions — even when it feels uncomfortable.
What’s next?
More underdog stories.
More women forging their own paths — loudly or quietly, at 30 or 60.
More proof that it’s not too late, you’re not broken, and you don’t need permission.
And yes — we’ll pause for five minutes to celebrate this win.
Then it’s straight back to work.
Because daring doesn’t stop once you get noticed.
That’s usually when it really starts.
Thank you for listening.
Thank you for sharing.
And thank you for daring to want more.
